Fidget spinner not spinning: identify before adjusting

Slower after storage

Record the model, storage conditions and visible debris without opening the bearing. We cannot identify contamination or wear from spin duration alone.

Rubbing, loose part or wobble

Stop using it until the construction and fault are understood. Do not tighten unknown parts or bend the body using instructions for another model.

Source and limits

Collect three details

Write the model and revision, the symptom and when it started. Add any drop, liquid exposure or modification. These details are more useful for finding applicable instructions than a claim that the spinner used to spin longer.

Do not generalize a cleaning method

Bearing construction and finishes vary. This page intentionally offers no universal solvent, lubricant, disassembly or replacement procedure. A manufacturer’s link for one model is not permission to apply that method to another.
